Polution in the air? I don't know, how do my lungs look?

Seriously, I wish I thought of this.

These two grad students at NYU came up with this clever shirt design showing organs that change color when exposed to air pollution. They are planning on another soon, but with the liver and alcohol detection. Cool!

""Humility isn't thinking less of yourself; it's thinking about yourself less." Ghandi

Just read this inspiring article about a homeless organization in Miami called Humility Now. Not only do I love everything that they are about and do, but also their t-shirts are mighty cool, as well. For each t-shirt they sell, one is given to one of their homeless buddies.

A New Year

We have started this new year doing something we haven't been able to do for a long time. In fact, for the whole time Nicholas and I have known each other. Spend time together, hours, days :) Work side by side at the table, share most of our meals, be in the same place.

Last year was great, as it was the first time in almost three years, that we lived in the same city. But with Nicholas gone 90% of the time at the school and working, it was almost like me being back in NY and him in DC. Finally, we are able to reconnect and share our days together. Quietly working on applications, calls, reading, writing, sharing, and talking. We have had a lot of life stuff to take care of from a year out of the country and I can finally take a deep breath and relax as we have caught up on 95% of the administrative things.

Just a couple things left on my list to handle before the next big adventure. Happy and healthy in 2011!
